Our Program

Establish an Early Childhood Development (ECD) Center to Support Children of Teen Mothers and Address Child Malnutrition

We address child malnutrition by establishing an Early Childhood Development (ECD) center specifically dedicated to supporting children of teen mothers and Promote the education of children born to teen mothers by covering their school fees and providing all the necessary school supplies to ensure effective learning.

  1. Establishment of an Early Childhood Development (ECD) Center
To directly combat child malnutrition and support early growth, an ECD center was established specifically for children of teen mothers. The center provides a safe, nurturing environment where children receive daily nutritious meals prepared according to age-appropriate dietary standards. Regular health check-ups and growth monitoring are conducted by trained health workers to track developmental milestones and intervene early in cases of malnutrition or developmental delays. Additionally, the center offers early learning stimulation activities—such as music, storytelling, and guided play—supporting children’s cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  2. Parenting Education and Nutrition Workshops for Teen Motherss
Teen mothers are engaged in regular workshops that build their understanding of child nutrition, proper feeding practices, and responsive caregiving. Cooking demonstrations are conducted to teach the preparation of balanced meals using affordable, locally sourced ingredients. These sessions empower mothers with the skills and confidence to care for their children effectively at home.
  3. Education Support for Children Born to Teen Mothers:To promote continuous education and break the cycle of poverty, the program supports school-aged children of teen mothers by paying school fees and providing all essential learning materials. This includes school uniforms, shoes, books, pens, and bags. By removing financial barriers, the initiative ensures that these children have a fair chance at academic success and social inclusion.
  4. School Readiness and Transition Support:For children transitioning from the ECD center to primary school, the program provides school readiness training—introducing them to basic literacy, numeracy, and classroom behavior. Additionally, mothers receive guidance on how to support their child’s learning journey, ensuring a smooth transition into formal education.
